Dick Rausch Instructor of the year

Dick Rausch Instructor of the year

2010 Jade Warpeha, Dassel-Cokato High School
In just four years, Jade took an established program and made it his own, winning the Independent A Circuit Championship in 2007 and placing in the top 5 of Scholastic A in 2009 and 2010. Already recognized by his peers in 2009 as finalist for the Instructor of the Year Award, Jade has once again put a great product on the floor with a unique show design.

2010 Jordan Wein, Burnsville High School
Jordan took over the Burnsville program in 2008 and in three short years, they moved out of Regional A to winning the A Class Circuit Championship in back to back years, 2009 and 2010. Jordan has continued to grow the program and has routinely put exciting and interesting shows together while commanding the respect of his students who work very hard for him.

2009 Bojan Hoover, Anoka High School
Bo has been instructing Anoka for several years, but this season is like no other in that Bo challenged his students to an extra degree by asking them to perform a different concert piece at every performance, truly rounding his students' musical education. Under Bo, Anoka has performed well at each show, playing pieces that truly range all over the concert percussion genre. Separately, Bo assisted at Irondale High School, helping them win the 2009 Open Class Championship.

2008 Paul Weber, Irondale High School
Irondale has long been a contender in Open Class thanks to Paul. They have had past success both in MPA and WGI under Paul's watch, and this season has been no exception. Paul and his staff have put together an exciting Open Class show, and Irondale's students are executing it well. As tough as the competition is in Open Class, Paul has managed to take Irondale to a new level even for them this season.

2007 Beau Hansen, Becker High School
The Becker High School drumline has shown steady development over the past three years. Starting as a beginning drumline in Regional A in 2005, Becker has consistently improved, moving up to Class A during the season in 2006, and winning the Class A Championship in 2007!

2006 Tom Gallus, Monticello Percussion Theatre
In only Tom's second year with Monticello's winter program, he has brought them from Regional A competition to one of the best groups in Class A. Known for their innovative visual book, Monticello has made great progress under Tom.
